Come and take a peek into the nanoworld of photons and electrons

For example, you will find out where precise time comes from, you will get into the secrets of microscopy, nanoscopy, ultrasensitive optical biosensors, optical fibres or fibre lasers. You will learn more about microwave radiation and biomolecules. All this and much more awaits you during the ÚFE Open Door Days on Thursday and Friday 7-8 November. Do not hesitate to come and talk to our scientists, try out basic laboratory techniques and discover the world of cutting-edge research in photonics, optoelectronics and electronics.

This year we have prepared a busy programme for you, again at two sites. At the main building in Kobylisy, we are preparing several innovations - in addition to excursions, we will also offer lectures. At the Lysolaje building, the excursions will remain unchanged. It is necessary to register in advance for individual lectures and excursions. Notification: our programme is provided in Czech only.

Week of the Czech Academy of Sciences

The Week of the Czech Academy of Sciences is the most extensive science festival in the Czech Republic.
