The article about advancements in optical fibres by a group of authors from the Institute of Photonics and Electronics was published in the Glass and Ceramics (Sklář a keramik), a professional magazine for the glass, ceramics, and jewelry industry.
Paper deals with current trends in the field of optical fibers for fiber sensors, fiber amplifiers and lasers, namely from the point of view of technology of their fabrication. Results of material research achieved in the Institute of Photonics and Electronics of Academy of Sciences are presented.
