Bára Švejkarová won the Best Poster Award at the Europhoton conference in Vilnius
Bára Švejkarová, a PhD student from the Fibre lasers and non-linear optics research team, took first place in the competition for the best poster at the Europhoton conference, which took place on 25-30 August in Vilnius, Lithuania.

Bára Švejkarová, a PhD student at the Faculty of Nuclear and Physical Engineering at CTU, is researching fibre optics and fibre lasers at the ÚFE. In the poster session at the 11th International EPS-QEOD Europhoton Conference held in Vilnius, Lithuania, August 25-30, 2024, she was the winner with her poster "Challenges of temperature-dependent emission spectra measurement of Thulium-doped fiber aroud 2-μm".

The Europhoton conference presents the latest discoveries in solid-state, fiber and waveguide radiation sources. The conference is organised by the European Physical Society (EPS) in collaboration with the Quantum Electronics and Optics Division (QEOD) z EPS.

Congratulations to Bára!
