2006 - 2007: Employed as a post-doc at the Institute of Photonics and Electronics of Czech Academy of Sciences. Concerned with research on preparation of special optical fibers for sensors and communications.
April 2003 – December 2005: Employed as a post-doc in Institute of Chemical Processes Fundamentals of Czech Academy of Sciences. Concerned with optical biosensors and monitoring of microorganisms by intrinsic fluorescence.
September 2001 – March 2002: Employed in Institute of Chemical Processes Fundamentals of Czech Academy of Sciences as a research assistant.

Scientific internship:

February - August 1999: Socrates/Erasmus stage at École des Mines d’Albi (France). The stage was oriented to an analysis of soil polluted by heavy metals
