Physicist Marek Piliarik of IPE succeeded in the prestigious ERC CZ program which supports research, experimental development and innovation and received a grant of over CZK 40 million.
The main attraction of the International Training School on "Fibre Lasers and Fibre Optic Technology" were the lectures given by the leading European experts from both academia and industry, as well as by the "hands-on" laboratory exercises, during which they participated in the preparation of optical fibres or fibre lasers build-up.

The Scientific board of the Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering, CTU awarded Prof. Jiří Čtyroký with a Medal of Merit for faculty development.
Michal Cifra from IPE has received the Otto Wichterle Award for 2016, a significant prize of the Czech Academy of Sciences. Congratulations!
