Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GPS, EGNOS, GLONASS, Galileo) are mainly used for precise time and frequency transfer in the present time. Our first experiments showed that the precision similar to time transfer using satellites can be achieved using fully optical network for the time transfer. The goal of this project is to create a fully optical path with several DWDM channels between the Laboratory of the National Time and Frequency Standard in the Institute of Photonics and Electronics AS CR and CESNET for the research of the optical time and frequency transfer and to get optical interconnection with other scientific institutes in order to link their atomic time scales to the time scale of the Laboratory.
