The conference was attended by 70 visitors from Europe, Middle East and North America. Overall, 12 invited lectures and 27 contributing sessions were presented. Beside that, a poster session also took place at the conference, where 21 guests presented their projects.
The conference focused on topics related to the implementation of semiconductor sources and detectors in the mid-infrared spectral region and their use for environmental monitoring, medical diagnostics and security applications.
The collection of abstracts (ISBN: 978-80-86269-23-8) is also available online at www.ufe.cz/smmo2015 . The chosen contributions will be published in a special edition of the Optical and Quantum Electronics magazine.
